The diner

down the dusty country road,
we drove to take in,
a breathe of the unpolluted,
countryside air,
and to a diner we came to a stop,
and dove in for a cup of coffee,
and sat at the far corner,
and beauty came to my service,
a lady too royal for this,
and she looked at me,
with a face that shone with
delight,
and though from her came a few
words,
they did sound of wedding bells,
and vows made at the altar,
of an aisle covered with petals,
and a church full of warmth,
and i did stand to her,
a country girl so sweet,
now vows we make,
of happily ever after to be,
