with thoughts of a brighter,
better future that is tommorow,
though sadness studded face,
and many a broken dreams i carry,
faith i still keep close,
and so i awaken into another day,
a cup of warm water,
and two unbuttered slices,
to keep the worms at bay,
and try to make yesterday another story,
and today a better day,
for hope is all i have,
and faith i will forever keep...
