lonely

I’m a bird perched on a window
Waiting for someone to open to
me
All doors remain closed
Even the ones I lock myself.
These wings spread, readying
flight
Leaving before anybody has the
chance
I pray you can prove me wrong
Yet I still feel no breeze.
A lonely swallow
Ignored due to size
If that is all that matters
Then I have to grow some
more…
Fitting inside the broken hole
Doing dangerous things
vandalizes
The body, mind, and soul
You just have to know how to
escape.
Without getting caught…
A lonely swallow
Paid no attention
Flying south crooked
Only going in circles.
I need direction…open your
heart!
